About Us

How It Started

Hey y'all! We are Evan & Christy Nelson from McCalla, Alabama. We have 3 sons-- Cash, Crue, & Briggs. In 2015, we began our venture into farming by purchasing our very first bred cow and calf at her side. It wasn't long before we realized hay production would be a great option to pair with cattle farming, so by 2016, we were dipping our toes into hay as well. By 2017, our herd grew larger as did the demand for hay, so we began to explore the option of pursuing our dream of farming full-time.

How It's Going

After a few years of hard work, we are proud to say that we are full time profitable farm! We currently manage and maintain over 1500 acres of farm land in Jefferson County. We know that the secret to building a successful farming business includes virtues such as faith in God, pride in country, hard work, creativity, patience, consistency, having versatile operations, and a willingness to do what it takes. The customers are always valued!
